Whole Grain Black Rice

Whole Grain Black Rice

Black Venere rice is a nutty, pleasantly sweet cousin to brown rice. Its inky hue turns deep purple-black when cooked, making it an eye-catching addition to your meal. Use it in place of brown or white rice in pilafs, salads, stuffings or dressings, and even soups. This whole grain rice is minimally processed, which means it sis protein- and vitamin-rich, highly nutritious!

For the past five generations,Ā Gli AironiĀ has focused on improving farming conditions in the Vercelli region of northern Italy, implementing less invasive agriculture and restoring the local ecosystem. Their rice is minimally processed, retaining part of the germ where protein and vitamins A, D, E, and K are present. This is impossible with industrial processing methods, which cannot guarantee the retention of nutrients. The company constantly seeks perfection, assisted by food scientist Michele Perinotti, and has led international chefs (including Jamie Oliver) to chooseĀ Gli Aironi rice.
